Can anyone tell me what transmission tail shaft housings (rear most part of transmission that bolts onto main housing) will work with my 1982 Chevy Luv Diesel 5spd 2wd. I have broken mine and can't seem to locate an exact match. Any Help would be Great

The gasser Luvs Isuzu Pups and Troopers used the same tranny but with a different bell housing.

the case on the diesel trooper trans is stronger.
so i dont (think) a case from a trooper will work.
but the guts are the same, go figure.

You need an '86-'94 5-speed. It doesn't matter if it's from diesel or gas as long as you have the front half (bell housing) from a diesel 5-speed. They used stronger transmissions beginning in '86. Unless you find one from a diesel, your speedometer will be off and will need correction.
