I trying to find someone that might help me. I am looking at a 1982 chevy luv pickup, diesel 4x4, some surface rust, but body is not to bad what should I be paying for this truck

Even with photos, nobody could give you anything but a "ballpark" range. Without photos, it's really not possible to say. There are too many things that could be wrong, but don't show up in the photos.

If it's as you described, the range could go from just under $1,000 to near $3,000, depending on what you mean by "surface rust", the condition of the interior, etc. Not much help, huh.
