Hello, I just purchased my first LUV diesel truck(82), its in good shape but the engine shakes to to much. after looking,
the right side(pass side) engine mount is in bad shape. I was able to purchase one locally but when i went start changing
it, notice that i could not get to the top two bolts. So i would have to have to remove the engine bracket that is used to
connect to the engine mount. then i noticed that the "injector pump" is also connected to that engine bracket and the
enjector pump goes into the timeing chain area. That's getting too too deep for me. any idea's on how to remove the "rubber part of the
engine mount(not the bracket) without taking the total engine out or the injector pump off. Please forgive me if i have used
the wrong names for some items, I'm very new to diesel engines.
thanks
stephen

File comment: I realize that this is not the total diesel picture of the engine mount but it lets you know what i'm trying to repair.

If you can get that truck over here to Ga. Not so far from Anderson, SC. one Saturday, I will help you change that mount for a very reasonable fee. It really should not be as big a job as it first appears.
