I was driving home this evening when my truck died at a red light. It was turning over, but would not start. I popped the hood and something popped and a puff of smoke appeared. It was coming from an electrical connector on the top back side of the injector pump (I assume that's what it is, it has the 4 fuel supply lines on it). It's the only electrical item on it. Any idea what it is/does and where can I find a replacement??? NOONE here in Louisiana can find it or figure out what it is. I've tried Advance Auto Parts, Auto Zone, O'reilly. Any ideas?? HELP!! This is my daily driver!

Sounds like a problem with your fuel shutoff solenoid. Check with the guys at IsuzuPup.com if you don't get what you need here.

Thanks man! I looked at the other thread, and it sounds like he is having just the opposite problem that I'm having, but it is involving the same part. Hopefully someone can help me out! I gotta get my truck back! 42mpg vs. 11mpg in my Jeep is a no brainer!

Well... I spent all night last night researching and most of the day today. Found the VE site, and am waiting to hear back from them to see if they will sell me one "magnetic valve".
I pulled it off my pump, removed the plunger and reinstalled it. Now when I want to kill the engine, I have to put it in 4th or 5th gear and stall it. But... it is running better now than it ever has since I've owned it!
