I think the 2.2DI might be the 4LE2, which puts out a whopping 37-53HP at 3000RPM. And I quote
* The 4LE2, a 2.2 L four-cylinder diesel family with DI and IDI models covering an output range of 37 to 53 hp. This top selling modal is manufactured by Isuzu in Ebina, Japan.

I could be wrong, though.

Also, that engine would not be a good choice because of the horsepower being made at only 3,000 rpm. I would have to say that engine is probably the newest, small industrial engine for Isuzu. Kinda falls under the same category as an Isuzu C240 diesel engine in that it's for industrial use only. Wouldn't try to put it into an automotive vehicle setup. The C223 diesel was last available in the 1987 Isuzu PUP and its power output was 62 HP @ 4300 RPM and 96 FT LBS @ 2200 RPM.
