I have one that just lost the timing belt, and the valves wont move when turning the cam by hand, so I assume I will be doing a top end rebuild. I wont do that without rebuilding the bottom end also, so I need to find a full engine kit. I have found ads for 2.2L Isuzu's but am not sure if that is the same engine kit. I have also found an 85' 2.2L head and valves coming up for auction, but am not sure if it will fit my 81 Luv Diesel. Can any one give me some insight? That auction is in the morning, and I need to price out the kit, so I know my whole expense. Thanks.

the 2.2l is the same motor (my dad has one and it's identical to my motor in my LUV.

I might be interested in getting one of these some time next year too...
