In an effort to manage spammer accounts (who probably make up 70% of new members) we have enabled manual approval for first-time posters.

Our current admin and moderator staff consists of 4 people, myself, Ben, luvrv8, and tilted. Sometimes we may not check the site as often as we should.

Please be patient with us. Your message may sit in the queue for a few days, but one of us will see it and approve it as we get a chance.

I still manually approve every registration on the P'up site. But since I implemented some anti-spam questions a few years ago, I've only seen one or two spammers get past the questions -- and I caught them before approving.

I highly recommend anti-spam questions. Mine are specific to P'ups.

We have anti spam challenge questions. When I say 70% of the first posts are from spammers, I mean the real site traffic is so low that there are only a few real new members per month. Sometimes zero. The spirit of this post was more to say that traffic is low and sometimes we don’t check every day.
