im buying a 84 impulse 1.9!! complete motor and injection. its gonna be goin in the pup in about a month. im gonna buy a megasquirt fuel managment system, and theres gonna be a turbo involved with this motor too. im gonna be buyin the motor from work on the 18th, so ill defianatly get some pics of the lil beast.

oh, and the coolest part of the motor is the injection! it says "I-TEC" on the side and it has a dual throat throttle body. im really syked about it!!

Sweet deal man, let me know how the Mega Squirt works out, I'm planning on going the same route. (I wonder if the upper intake off of a 93+ 2.6 will fit on the lower manifold, man reason being, bigger throttle body, oh and for your MAF grab one off of a 93+ 2.6, biggest they made for the "old" EFI Isuzu motors)

mkay. i really dont know what im gettin myself into with this FI, but i know itll be soooo much better!

as for the megasquirt, ive heard and seen really good thing with it, so im definanlty gonna go with one. i need to find a place to order one for cheap and get it built. i need a harness made too.

man this is gonna kick ass!!

Since your going with the MegaSquirt system you HAVE TO BUILD IT YOURSELF!!!! its way more fun that way, because if you screw up its your own fault, and you get to fix it, fun stuff and gives you a better appriciation for your truck Just so you know they're not that hard to build, I mean you have all of the parts there and instruction on how to build it, all you have to do is put it all together the way you want to.

well i found another impluse motor at work. i actually found a whole impulse! 5 speed and all! so im gonna do a compression test on the motor thats in the car and put a battery in it and see if itll run.

now i noticed that the injectors arent really one a fuel rail, but are just in the intake, and have hoses to a fuel line. is the fuel pressure on these systems lower than another system with a rail on the injector?

I don't think so, if it bothers you too much you can swap in the fuel rail off of a 2.6, It *should* work

well that just one of those things ill have to worry about when i boost it. i figure since it looks to be a low pressure system, it wont be able to handle my fuel needs. but i dont know yet. ill find out when the turbo goes on.
