I know its kinda of a long shot, but I thought I'd ask anyways. I am trying to get into the game/animation industry, but the number of artists are in great number, and jobs are few. A good portion of the time, its who you know that already has a job instead of your skills.
I hope to have my own website in the next month, so I'll add that to my Luv profile.

I don't know anyone in the gaming industry, but I've got a couple of graphics artist friends. They spent a lot of their time building up a big portfolio of stuff to show off, so getting a website and filling it with examples of your work sounds like a good way to start. Then just start sticking your URL in front of companies you'd like to work for, whether they are hiring or not.

i've got a friend that is a graphic artist... i'm still in highschool but i hope to be one someday
