They smashed the side window. Then they proceeded to tear up the dash and destroy the radio trying to get it out.

My dash wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad. Now it's trash.

Wish I knew who did it, I'd bring new meaning to the term 'justifiable homicide'.

The earlier trucks are real easy to break into... stick something into the wing window, pry the bar up, and reach in and roll down the window... If you have one of those styles, those are some really stupid thieves for breaking your window.

Either way, it does suck. I've had a vehicle broken into a couple of times. If I had caught them in my driveway they would have gotten some buckshot in their ass. Lucky them.

You can't stop someone determined enough to break a window. Wing window locks will slow down the ones that are not quite as determined though. I've had them all my 77 for years and they do help. I can open a luv with wing windows without damage in about 30 seconds flat, with stuff I usually have in my pockets everyday. Add the wing locks and I'd need tools, and a couple minutes more time.

I hope that somehow they catch the perps 1okeytogo. For their sakes, I hope they get caught by the law before you get to them. ;) I know what I had imagined for the ones that broke into mine, and they didn't even do that much damage.

that sucks man, that really sucks.

last month my roommate's integra was stolen from our driveway. They stripped the $1,200 stereo, and took everything else out of the car including 2,000 CDs. Then they ditched the car...

Thanks for the moral support.

Not only are Luvs easy to get into, but the stereo is a front mount. Push a couple of clips and it slides out. Go figure.

LUV's are very easy to get into.. I mounted my radio with a piece of angle aluminum on the backside with a short bolt into the chassis of the radio after I had my kicka** cd player nabbed... it's a real pain in the a** to get it out now but I don't think anyone's gonna steal it.

It sucks to have it happen, I have had a system stolen as well. Now I don't care, I have insurance and my wife is my agent. If the got my stereo now I would swear my dash was perfect before.
