Well it looks like another Hurricane is going to hit the USA. This one will most likely hit Texas. Houston could get it bad, and a lot of SE Texas. NO hotels for 600 miles. People getting scared. My wife, Joyce, stopped at the Brenham super walmart, and people were buying out water, battries, and a lot of stuff. When she goes to work tommrow she will see how it is in Bryan-College Station TX.

Most of Galveston and Galvestion County will be under manadotory evecation Wendesday. I hope all our Houston area folks are at least getting ready to get the hell out of dodge.

I will be watching closely. I have to take the M-I-L to the Doctor in the morning and we will go from there. We should get Hurricane force winds here and farther north too, Past College Station too

Tommrow I will get stuff put up, cleaned up and locked up at least.

SE TEXAS people be carefull.

Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

damn man...i feel for you! we just had a guy move up here from houston...he was talking about all those towns you just mentioned...especially galveston.

but seriously prepare and be as safe as you can..seeing that you cant really prepare for something as unpredictable as a hurricane.

i wish you the best

anthony

I rushed into Houston and made my delivery on Wed. afternoon. A lot of people were already leaving and I wanted to get out too. My dispatcher said to stay the night. They hoped to find a load on Thurs. morn. I told them that everybody will be closed and to forget it. On Thurs. morn. I called in and he said to just get the heck out of there. So I went from east Houston to downtown on the I10, 16 miles in 10 minutes. Then the next 40 miles took 15 HOURS!!!! It flowed pretty good from Katy to San Antonio. Katy is where us big trucks could get on the wrong side of the road. Cars were able to do it sooner but there was long lines the way they had to go to get there. Katy is also where the K rail in the middle ends so people were going through the gas median after Katy.

So all in all I was behind the wheel for 20 hours straight, to go from 227 miles from Houston to San Antonio. I got home last night (Sat.) and leave for Idaho Falls Idaho in Monday morning with crane parts.
