Now what does the City of Sacramento have against "modified" automobiles??? I suppose that if I were drive through there in my Luv I might very well expect to get a ticket, or at the very least a sharp reprimand from one of their "fine" ocifers, all of this just because my truck is "modified".
Well all I have to say is GOOD GOD WHAT HAS THIS COUNTRY COME TO?????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAY, i love being a carolinian. And how would they know if some vehicle was modified under the hood.... some stupid cop would probably think your alternator was a supercharger if the wire coming off of it was big enough. Half the people on most forces don't know crap, not even how to change oil.

This seems like one of those instances where some punks racing have ruined it for everyone. Even if you dont race the car you still cant modify it because some other guys have messed up the reputation of that type of car/person. The cops in the area where I live have always had a reputation of giving any old car that dosent look stock or is a little loud a hard time. It doesnt seem to stop us though.

Talk about ridiculous! Why don't they just pass a law stating that everone drives exactly the same type of cars. Every single or couple gets a suzuki swift and people with at home children get a minivan.

So I guess in fact that the officers cars will be checked as well???
they do NOT meet factory standards for emission nor the MPH limits .
they have mods to the computers that let them rev higher and go faster, this in turn makes them excede the emissions requirements.. But no one has thought of that have they?????

No but I can't belive California wants to pass such a stupid law. I am glad I live in bumpkin Idaho. It is getting to be too many people here in the valley as it is and there are also more laws. I wanna get away from everything even more. I mean I can't even walk outside at my dad's house in Sand Hollow and take a piss off the front step without someone seeing! There used to be NOBODY for miles, and now a bunch of yuppies moved around his land and the goats outside get the animal control called on them sometimes. Its just all the tons of stupid people that shoot eachother or race a car that they can't even drive and wreck it into a building or something that ruin it for the rest of us.

It's funny they bitch about "modified" cars. hmmm. lets see here...... cop cars must be completely stock right? no modifications to the motor whatsoever right? ok, high output altenator to run all those fun and flashy lights, cuz THAT's not a "mod" (trust me i have one in my truck )

there's not realy much enforcment of this law going on........cops around here don't know efi from tpi, and unless they are specificly trained to know what's what under the hood, charges don't hold up in court. i have a few buddies that have been pulled over and ordered to open there hoods, but they all had hood locks......under cali law anything that is locked (keyed)in your vehicle(trunk, glovebox, console, hood, etc.) requires a WARRANT to open.

these laws affect little kids whose daddy and mommy gave them too much allowance to buy parts and not enough education on there civil rights. i had no problem in sacramento when the luv was alive and my exhaust registered at 102db.
