Someone or some company that will make custom camshafts for a dirtbike....


Let me explain.. I have an 86 Honda XL250 with the dual overhead cam 4 valve engine. Awesome dual sport bike... But recently it died.. I yanked the valve cover off and the cams are ground basically flat. The cams are discontinued by Honda and the lowest price i've found for them are $1000 EACH.


I'd like to see if there is a way for me to get custom ground camshafts for my bike, seeing that I'm in there i might as well tweak it just a tad... you know.. why go for stock if I have to have cams made anyway....

I used to have an '87 XL 250R. one of the red white and blue ones. it was a fun bike although a little small. I used to wheelie the crap out of it. I also had my worst motorcycle accident ever on it.

theres a couple of other places that you might find a cam.... http://www.megacyclecams.com/ I bought some off them years ago for my 86 Ninja.

also http://www.hotcamsinc.com/catalog.asp might have one. I run a hot cam in my Raptor right now.
