Well me and my step dad don't get along and we've tried to for 11 years it just don't happen. so we got into an argument today and my parents kicked me out and my girlfriends parents are going to let me stay there. but my mom won't let me leave until i get custody signed over to my girlfriends parents. so i was just wondering if anyone knows how much it would cost to get custody signed over and where do i have to go to get it done? can anybody help me? all help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

your parents kicked you out? and your mom wont let you leave? sounds like your step dad tried to kick you out . A friend of mine divorced his mom back in 85 He was 15 maybe 16 he had the help of a judge...if your serious you need legal help. A lawyer (family law) can probly point you in the right direction. My 2 cents, don't do anything rash maybe concede on something to make good . Someday that guy might seem like an ok person.

check into being an imancipated minor. the courts basically consider you an adult and NOBODY has custody over you. a lot of the famous child actors etc do this to keep their parents from spending up their money and trying to run their career into the dirt.

Look around for Legal Aide Services in your area. The State of Oregon has a division for it, dunno about where you are but there is probably something similar. If they can't help directly, they should at least be able to tell you who could or others to talk to. If nothing else start with whatever state office you can find and ask if they can direct you to someone who could help. Though DHS might want to butt in and get involved, do things without asking you on your behalf, I suppose you could call them and not give your contact info.

Good luck whatever you end up doing.
