Post subject: Something I did today...

To start with i gotta call to pick up an 80 ford Pinto wagon...FREE!
Got it, it had sat for yrs, but all it needed was a battery, a lil gas and a driver.Just as I got the call a guy came by inquiring of what all I bought as far as chevy Luvs & parts, said he had a BRAND NEW stock carb for one still in the box. I said "Go get it, I'll swap ya out of it...somehow"(Not to mention that I have been having carb probs latley)
Meanwhile, I got the Pinto running, when he returned w the carb I asked him if there was anything out in the yard he could use to trade me for the carb, he looks around and says "No, but what ya gunna do w that car that was hanging on the back of your truck?", and points at the pinto. 8O
Well, it ran an drove, and figured I could get a couple maybe 3 hundred cash out of it, but turns out he liked it ( I used to collect pinto's but now can't hardly GIVE those parts away)
So I swapped him the WHOLE car, title and all for the carb :!: :D
He returned a short while later, driving the pinto (on phony tags of course) 8) and says "Here, was thinkin maybe you could use this too" and hands me a dual-point distributor for a Luv! 8O
He says the car was sooooo good he had to toss somethin else in, and then leaves telling me how he has a friend out in the boonies w 5 Luv trucks that he "wants to git rid of" so all in all, pretty profitable day for me. Spent rest of day making my truck run right, and then blew right past a big dodge diesel dually on the way home :!: :D

P.S. Wonder how the guys in http://www.fordpinto.com would like this story?  LMAO

Alright, that's about enough out of you.....
I know where you LIVE!
P.S. I may be riding up there w someone soon,so watch that lil tongue of yers LOL

Besides, there isn't a thing on a LUV that even resembles an actual chevy...they are Isuzu, and you know I am real touchy about that. :!:

Don't worry guys....bobcat is my best friend in the whole world, and has been for 17 years, he just likes to rib me now and then. And like me, he is quite a comedian, so don't take him too seriously whatever you do 8O

But, the story he is NOT telling is that he actually owns a LUV...(I am wondering what is going to become of it) But he has told me about it and it sounds like a very nice truck :D

Alrighty, I've made a note of that here.....but actually , shipping wouldn't be too bad no further away than you are. 8)

But call me sometime (other than today, cause I am not there) at my yard so i can know where and how to find you.I do believe this deal is going to go thru up there and I may be there pretty soon.Should know more later today

But anyway....i have a BRAND NEW cyl head.for sale :D

I had a cylinder head shipped from Georgia to Utah, that's 2/3 of the U.S. It cost me $46
