so today i am up in the back of a duece and 1/2 welding in some tiedown brackets. i shift positions and place my knee right on a nice big hot as hell peice of fuckin slag  ......HOLY SHIT!!!!! :o 8O :x  .....
by the time i get my pant leg up to look at it the thing pops out and rolls down the inside of my pant leg landing in the top of my boot  ......i now have a freakin hole about 1/8" round and 1/8" deep in my damn knee  ...and a slight burn on top of my foot  ......

well i decide that i had better go get it looked at in case this thing damaged my cartilage or something ...(really.... its THAT deep 8O )....i go over to the aid station...(armys version of urgent care  ) and let one of these medics look at it....this dude looks at it and says "well it dont look that bad" ...WHAT!!! i got a fuckin DIVOT in my damn knee!!!!!...the only reason it aint bleeding is b/c the heat carterized the damn thing. he says it looks like it missed the catrtilage and maybe got the muscel instead...oh yay...even better.

so he cleans it out a little and puts some cream and a bandaid on it and says to just keep an eye on it and make sure it dont get infected
it dont hurt as bad now as it did earlier but SHIT THAT HURT!!!

Did he give you some 800 mg motrin too? Rub some dirt on it and drive on soldier!

That sux! I made the mistake of using a cutting torch while wearing nylon toed tennis shoes...mistake. big glob of slag dropped onto my unsuspecting foot. Had to hop/run halfway across the room to a nasty old quench bucket.

Man does that ever SUCK!

I did something similar. Seems to me I left my 'common sense' in the house that day.. Anyways...my dad and I were working on one of our air seeder's welding some cracks up in the welds on the frame. Well there was a hot puddle of slag under the weld on the ground, and I sat down on it...

8O 8O 8O :onfire:

Yep it hurt. Didn't leave a divot, but I still got big scars on my ***!
