my boyfriend painted this, he's so proud of himself, I thought I'd post it here. He is enrolled in the auto paint and refinishing program this fall at Lake Washington Technical college and then is going to go to Wyotech.

I'd be proud of myself if I did that too. That's nice. I'm hoping to learn to do that as well, all my truck needs is new paint, and I can get the few dents I have out myself. But, yeah, that's the best looking mailbox I've seen. :D

cool thanks for the replies, guys! I will tell him what you all said, hehe, he made me take a picture of it on my digital camera and show all of our friends, lol :roll: Now my mom wants him to paint our mailbox!

That does it, seeing that has put me in gear to go do something w this ugly POS mail-box of mine :!: Have looked at it this way long enough.
(Am thinkin maybe chop and channel and paint on a few scallops) and then w any luck the bills won't fit in it anymore LOL :lol: :wink: :P

hey blue... therre's this guy down the street that took a th-400 and gutted it and hinged a door and flag to it and the postmaster for the area approoved it..... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: he had to replace about ten cheapos when me and my buddies were teenagers,so he went heavy duty.

awesome! My dad painted flmaes on our mailbox along time ago, it started lookin like crap so we put a plain one on. now this ones all faded n stuff, when they buy one im gonna flame it out.

Well that indeed is pretty heavy-duty. 8O

Sounds like a guy down the road from me.....He has an entire Harley-Davidson chopper (minus engine) up on posts and it's a hanger for sevral mail-boxes, next time i am down that way I plan to take a pic of it.VERY unusual piece indeed. 8)
