The carpet in both my kids rooms is getting wore out. I was calling around town just to get prices on the carpet/padding and no one would quote me over the phone. If anyomne could give me a guestimate, or a range for a middle grade carpet. The rooms are both 13x10. Im guessing all the carpet sales people are paid commision. Thanks for any help.

Try Home Depot if you have them back there. I did a living room installed 20 x15 for about $650. That was pretty good carpet.

Well, like with anything else. Its just gonna depend on where you go to buy your carpet. If you are gonna put it in yourself then, I would say if you can find remnents {instead of buying a whole role} the size you need, then I would guess about $75 each room. I know DIARMADHIM just had his whole place recarpeted, maybe he can give you some insight. If you are gonna do the work yourself, you will need a carpet stretcher. You should be able to rent one fairly cheap, but get one, because if you dont, then the carpet will be loose, and chances are, you will not be happy with the looks. GOOD LUCK
