Anybody else remember the orange hotwheels track that you had to peice together with those purple connecters? Ive been trying to talk my dad out of the set I used to play with but he wont give it up. I think I ll have to buy a set off ebay. Just was there and theres a few sets on there. My boys are old enough now to enjoy it without desroying it. However I can see myself playing with it more than they will.

That stuff is awsome! My bro and i used to play whith our uncles old stuff. Those were some of the best days. We would set it up in the basment whgere the track would run down the stairs and then just do all sorts of crazy stuff (the loops kicked ass). Oh i wish i still had em realy

Me and my bro used to clamp an end of straight sections to the front window ledge and pile up books at the end on the floor and see whos cars could fly the furthest. And yes, the loops were deffinately cool.

Anyone ever tried to get it to do a spinny loop by twisting the track so it looked like a drill bit then running the cars?

I got two or three loops out of them before they would fall off the track.

A buddy of mine told me today that a friend of his, dad had past away and they were cleaning out the fathers belongings and they came across a box in the attic that was full of matchbox race cars. Most still in the original package. They went back about fifty years. If you ever looked on ebay some of those suckers go for about 500 each. Man what a find. :D Though to bad about the old man.

for good jumps i would take the loops, and just run the track straight off one end. Pile a few books to suport the track and you have a huge ramp 8)
I never tryed the drill bit loop though... :?

Last I heard about the kid was that he was hit by a Motorhome after he got high on Acid one night and took a stroll on the interstate. 8O

So I don't have to worry about him no more. Poor kid. Stealing my track and then a Winnebago. It all started with stealing the track.... I am sure of it. :!:
