Alrighty theres this obscure industrial band that i need to know the name of. Im hoping one of you guys will randomly know who it is so here it goes. They sound alot like Rammstien, harsh lyrics and a good solid guitar. Now heres the part that makes them unique, they have a bag pipe player. They kick ass, i just randomly heard it and need to know the bands name. Anybody have a clue?

Well the girl at work looked at me like I was nuts when I mentioned the bagpipes. Not her bag I guess. She had no clue. Does Rolling Stone have a website? Maybe you could do a forum search on a music site of some sort.

Light bulb just came on in my head. Transwala. Not sure if thats how they spell it, but I know theres a band named that.

I ended up finding a hit searching the web for random keywords mixed with "bagpipes". From there I hit on a bad called Corvus Corax, and most of their members later formed a band called Tanzwut. This site has some info, not to mention a bunch of other bands in the same bent:

Tanzwut is listed there and they do use bagpipes. Since there can't be many bands that are like Rammstein and use the pipes they must be it. There are a couple of samples on the site above, or hit their home page at http://www.tanzwut.com/

I might have to check them out more, the bit I listened to was a little too techno and not near dark and menacing enough. If you hit their homepage, look for the music link on one of the points of the symbol on the right.

I am learning to play the bagpipes. I am a descendant of the MacNeil clan. I love pipe music. There is nothing better to listen to while drinkin beer and remembering the past.
