Some of the younger crowd here may hear some of the, let's call it more experienced crowd talk about the old days and all of the cool parts. Here is the chance for the younger crowd to see where mini truckin came from and us experienced guys to take a trip down memory lane.

This was my 1st Luv in the mid 80's I purchased from Richmond Honda Motorcycles where i worked selling parts & raced dirt bikes for them. They took it in on trade for a motorcycle & i bought it and detailed it to this stage heart beat on the 1/2 tinted windows so they were somewhat legal... I ended up cutting the top off myself w/ a saw-zal making it a hard top mini a friend of mine worked at Rag Time which made kits to convert your top to a rag or hard top convertible so he hooked me up w/ some of parts the resat was custom made.. really like that truck it went everywhere ....I'm.on my 3rd Luv now I have a yellow Step side & taking it back to pretty much all stock.

I was fortunate to get 2 luvs w/ that chrome strip. This 77 and my current 77 step has it..my 75 didn't have one maybe it was the year not sure...i hate to pull the windshield out and ruin it but when i get to painting it I will have to try as i need to switch windshields.

I bought a 76 Mikado new off the lot in that sweet Shannon green. It went through many phases. Higher, lower, camper and commuter. Bolted in a roll bar with big off road lights and a Pioneer cassette deck. It came with the chrome window moldings and IIRC the grill was chrome too, after the black factory paint was stripped off...It wasn't as "cool" of a ride as the van guys had,but it did have the "gas, grass or ass..nobody rides for free" bumper sticker....ahhh,memories..
