LOL...
My neighbor is 90, and the old house she was in is a termite delite, so she has a mobile home now. The house is home to an assortment of critters, usually skunks. She is also the neighborhood cat lady. (Told me about 6 months ago she had 15, but I counted 19 around us as she was saying that. Anyways, she told me last she was down to 1. (I think she thought it as me.) Anyhow, Last week I was cleaning up around that dump so I could see, and saw a fox pup. I had seen 2 adults earlier, but wasn't sure where they were coming from. Well, they are under the house. I have seen the pup several times, and it is curious enough to come within 5 feet or so. I set a live trap last night and caught a different pup I had not seen previously. The other pup was outside the trap playing, so I know there are are at least 2 now, plus the adults. I went to get the one below, and I had to go to battle. I had a .410 in one hand, and a dip net in the other. Mama is ALL teeth. I was trying to catch either her or the pup in the net, but finally was able to get the trap and move it to my yard. I plan on catching the other pup, and transferring it to a pet carrier. I am then going to set the trap, and put concrete blocks I have around it and the pet carrier so mama will have to go in the trap to see the pup.
In a past life, I was an avid hunter, and one of my hunting network has a pen that has foxes and coyotes in it (about 400 acres) That people train their dogs in, and that is where I plan on taking them. I don't think I will catch pops, but maybe he will take the hint.
They have to go, as I have an outside cat I am fond of...
