well as far as pro off roading sites theres the friends of the rubicon. Thats a biggie. I dont know there is damage donw by iresponsible wheelers but they are in the minority. And if i had some pics of trails i have gone on hiking in the hinterland, i could prove that horses do mor damage than a truck on wide tires

Here is the link to Tread Lightly.

http://www.treadlightly.org/

You should be able to find some environmental groups searching Google or lookng through Yahoo directories. Just about all of them have something negative to say about offroad vehicles or at least about those damn pesky gas guzzling SUVs.

Heres what I think... if people bought trucks and SUVs ONLY to go offroading, there would be a lot less sold. If there were a lot less sold, it would mean that housewives wouldn't be driving to soccer practice and the grocery store in them. If they weren't doing that, they'd probably be driving more effecient vehicles and polluting the environment a LOT less.

Compare the amount of moms that drive SUVs and pollute to those few who use them for off-roading. If you look at it that way, off-roaders seem like saints. :D

well i gave the speech today, sadly since it was a persuasive speech i had to change the topic to "offroading is harmful on the enviroment" :x i didnt want to, but there was more info on that, and i needed a good grade more than to convince a bunch of 19 year old girls city girls on how it isnt. o well, it went purdy good, and i didnt derail, so it was ok. should get the grade on mon, so hopefully i did decently.
