I stopped shopping there when K-mart bought them out.

I mostly shop for tools at Harbor Freight now, at least you know your buying cheap tools up front.

  I got an o2 sensor socket at HF same exact tool as I found at oreilly's but a few bucks cheaper. plus Hf knows their tools are crap so they don't really mind replacing broken stuff with a receipt as much

Yeah, they warrantied a 3/8 ratchet for me recently, didn't have a problem, but I can imagine for something like a jack it would be a pain. I could tell they had a lot of them break because he didn't have to go to the aisle to get me a new one, he had a whole drawer of a rollaway behind the counter full of these ratchets.

I've also lucked out that HF is good enough for hand tools. Chinese metallurgy is acceptable these days, whereas 10-15 years ago it was iffy.

For decent tools, you can get Stanley Proto from Grainger, and if you order the 'premium' brand from McMaster Carr you end up with Williams, Proto, or Armstrong usually.

I popped for a Snap-On 10 mm flare nut wrench to undo the brake line and replace a wheel cylinder on the LUV. After attempting with a cheapie I had, I read online that the Snap-On is the best one if you don't want to screw around, so I just went for it to be sure I wouldn't have trouble.

The tools in my shop are a Heinz 57 variety. After more than 30 years of buying when I need, find a deal, yard sales....I have a lot of different brands. JH Williams, Plumb (yes I have some Plumb wrenches that are ancient but I still use the), Snap-on, Bluepoint, GearWrench, Craftsman, S/K, Blackhawk, Sparta, Thorsen, Stanley, Husky, Armstrong, A few Kobalt and Harbor Freight. If they get the job done I use them. I mainly use Husky where I work because they don't have any of that brand so it's easy for me to keep them separate if I get on a big job. They have held up fine for the last several years. It's frustrating to see Craftsman made overseas but I have seen some as well.

I only use Snap on or S-K ratchets. I've broken too many Craftsman ratchets to bother with them any more.
I've never tried any of the others. I was a Chevy mechanic for 25 years and couldn't risk buying cheap tools!
