Donovan is my coworker, 2009 world champ in this vid. He makes custom knives, very sweet work. In fact, I traded a roll around tool box for one. He has a new knife profile (makes his own blades, handles, and sheaths, not an assembler, but a craftsman, IMO), than I coveet, the knife I particularly lust after has the handle covered in tanned Armadillo belly hide, and is a very sweet blade. The one I got now is a working knife, the 'dillo blade will be for show.

Not sure if this kind of stuff interests anyone, but there are some weird people that hang out here...

That is awesome. I have tried my hand at knife making. Im not even anywhere NEAR that quality of craftsmanship tho. But here are 2 that I made in Iraq with the VERY limited tools and supplies I had.

This is the first one. Made from a hunk of 3/8" armor plate. Handle is simply wrapped 550 cord

Second one. Made from an old w2 steel file. Handle is a chunk of sledge hammer handle pinned with 1/8 brazing rod.
