Grandmaster of the "Shade Tree" way.. I can't see the yard for all the cars. Come on down and we will sit on the porch and watch the grass grow.

2010 has not been the best of years for us. At the very beginning of the year, I had a heart stent put in. My wife lost her job. I went through hell getting a problem with Medicare fixed. We had a drought. Still a lot went well. I still have my LUV. We have a new grand daughter. I am almost done with the the new deck I am building. We have had some nice visits with family and friends. I have plenty of meaningful activities to keep me busy and the health to do them. One of them is taking our retired dog guide to visit a nursing home. If you are short of things to be thankful for, visit one your self. Or your local senior citizens center. There are people, younger and healthier than me that are lost and bored. So yes, I have plenty to be thankful for.

Happy Thanksgiving all. This year My wife and I are very thankful and blessed, because it was about this time last year we were very close to loosing the house and all we had worked so hard for. I am still unemployed after almost 2 years and even though my wife now has to travel for her job, we are able to pay the bills and see new places. It does mean separation from our daughter and other family members at times including holidays, but we are counting our blessings for sure. Thanksgiving will be spent in Richmond, V.A. this year, but headed home for the entire month of December soon.

Stopped in to say Happy Thanksgiving to all the LUV folks. I don't visit the forum as much as I used to but I do check in once in a while. I hope everyone had a good turkey day and had plenty to eat.
