That Damn virus is being sent from addresses from site members. I got one from chevy_Luv_78 and Drummerforhire. I reallize that they aren't sent by those guys but thats what the virus does. I almost opened one because it's from somebody i know thats with the site. So be aware that if you get an e-mail from anyone you know, dont assume that it's ok. If i need to send anyone a file, i'll send a pm telling them that the next e-mail will have an attachment with a specific name and if it's a .jpg or .doc and the like.

Yes, be careful everyone. I got a virus from "admin@luvtruck.com". Obviously I didn't send it nor did the server. That kinda pissed me off though. Someone could open such an email and them blame me/the site for getting infected.

I think the penalties for these virus and worm creators is not severe enough.

would norton antivirus catch this one? what does the virus do and how do you know that you have one?

Yes, Norton will catch it but i've been pre-scanning attachments and finding them. If you get any mail with an attachment, scan the attachment with Norton and it will let you know. But dont open the file! It's a mass mailer worm that will re-send itself using addresses from your mailbox. I dont think it will crash your system but it will keep your system busy sending itself out to others and it slows down the internet with so many e-mails being sent from thousands of computers. It's suppose to eliminate itself on sept 10.

OK guys, this is getting out of control. I got over 50 emails yesterday that were rejected due to the virus. Companies are sending me hate mail because I'm sending them viruses, but it's not me. A bunch of you guys out there that have the virus, have my email in your address book and the virus is sending itself out using my email as the sender. Apparently it's spreading because every day the number grows.

I also got over 10 emails yesterday that contained the virus in them.

I have no idea who it is. The only way to find out is for you guys to run the tool from Symantec or another virus protection company. http://securityresponse.symantec.com/av ... .tool.html

i hope it wasn't me ben. i haven't had the net for 2 weeks ( finally got a new place ) and got on today and had 10 of them in my email. would i have to open them for them to be sent back out did everybody here see they caught the damn kid damn, what a dumbass dork

Actually, I should have posted something, but I stopped getting the virus about a week ago.

Now nothing but junkmail and returned mail from all the people on this board that used fake email addresses.

ok Ben I got you beat I got on my only email access here in Kuwait which is called AKO (army knowledge online) and I open up my mailbox and I had 783 emails!!!!! Man I am glad that the army's server had to scan them all well it took me the better part of 90 minutes to delete all that crap !!!
