I blew a .002 in Sunriver as a minor. Was stopped because I had 1 of 4 tail bulbs out. I had nothing to drink, for at least a week :twisted: . Managed to get out of trouble because I still had two working taillights, and blamed the my fresh gum for causing the .002.
I did, however, manage to get an MIP a few weeks later because an overly curious cop (still in Sunriver) peered into my parked car and saw a beer bottle. Hefty fine, but no record of it once I was of legal age.

Good luck with your case :ewink

Do you mean .05% or is it really .005% ? Out here it's a DWI at .08% and depending on the test it could be a DUI at .04 but usually .05% (except for minors and under 21).

DWI = Driving While Intoxacated
DUI = Driving Under the Influeance

Why do people that knowingly commit a crime cry and raise hell when they're caught and punished for it?

My son got caught with alcohol last year not long before he turned 21. I told him he should have waitied the couple extra months and it wouldn't have been a problem. I think all the fines and alcohol awareness class fees totaled about $375. That money would buy alot of beer. I have never agreed with changing the age from 18 to 21 but it is what it is.

Ummm... have you learned anything from it?...
Hopefully you will want nothing to do with a 2nd offense.

Because I was at a wedding, and that .005% was a glass of champaign i had drank during a toast 1 hr. before we got pulled over. Its not like i was out raising all sorts of hell. I know the law is the law, and i know i broke it, but giving me the max fine?

Drinking age went from 21 to 18 then back to 21. Lasted for 3 years or so. I was already 21 when it changed.

M.I.P. covers a lot of areas.... Riding in a car counts. If they make you get out of the car, then they have you, but you had a chance of getting off.

Then we went to the open container law... Empty ones in the back of your truck and you were busted...

D.D is the only way.. That is usually me.

Holy crap! Busted w/ empties? I do recycling on occasion, and that's a good thing to know. Lots o' beer cans and liquor bottles where I work... Adds about $150/month. But now I'm a little worried about the cops.

if you have a bag full of random cans they cant really say anything about the beer and liquor .. well they can, but its safer if you just have a huge bag of empties .. pepsi, budweiser, sprite .. etc

i would think anyway

In my younger day the back of the truck was the trash can for our empties, but that law was not there. A friend had a hole in his back floor where the finished ones went. No go "Green" then.

Throw some real trash in it too.
