they are drafty as hell...

if you find a good quality one, they definitely make things alot better than just being in open air.

find one that you can add panels to go all the way to the ground. it's definitely better than nothing thats for sure!

well i found 1 that i was gonna order, at www.carports.com filled out all the info and went to purchase it and it saidthe online purchasing is temporarily down please call so and so #.
so i printed off the quote(good thing i did) and called them up. well the guy on the other end of the line said the price was 1100.00 i said um no its not the quote i have says 851.43. so he said he was gonna try and get to the bottom of it and call me back.

6 hours later im getting a little pissed so i call back and wouldnt you know it he wont answer the phone. so i left him a message saying to call me.

3 hours later i call acting like a new customer. talk to another guy and tell him i have a quote i can fax him. so i faxed it and got a call back about 10 mins later from a lady this time. we talk about it and she says yes i see it and i see that you printed it off this morning.
but i dont know how you got this price. i said its obviously your website and you should honor the price and the lady said " i'm sorry there is nothing that i can do. i cant find out how you got this price, and my manager said that sometimes the website messes up so i cant sell it to you for that price." i said "ok then i wont be buying anything from you and i will spread the news around as much as i can"

it sounded to me like the old hook them with 1 price then drag them in and get as much out of them as you can type of deal.

so there is my rant. i hate scammers! and carports.com is a scammer in my opinion

also if i lived in texas(which is 50 miles away from me) i could get the same 1 for another 200 dollars cheaper

i was gunna tell you about S--W load rating but i dont think its needed in NM


i started sensering the word after getting 5' of that blasted stuff in the winter of 08/09
the first 2' was OK but at 3' we had to clear the house roof, cuse we got 2" of rain the next day
