[bitch] The law says that archiving is legal. Meaning if you own a Metallica CD, and say it breaks.... you can download that CD onto your computer from the internet and burn it to a regular blank CD. Because you purchased that CD, you own the rights to one (1) copy of it, regardless of the medium. To be technical, you can legally have as many copies as you want, as long as only one is used at one time. You can burn a copy of a CD, and let your girlfriend have it, and it's legal as long as you don't both listen to it at the same time. [/bitch]
