I finally got around to putting pics of my 79 in the projects gallery. As you can see Blue Meanie, it has the header that my dad put on many moons ago and the weber you talked me into  . Now all I need is a new a/c compressor and I will be in business. As you can all see, it has a few cannon holes in the sides, but all in all not a bad little truck for having 217,000 original miles on everything.

Thanks. If I can find a little beater like a geo metro or something to get great gas mileage, the big RESTO will begin.

I am getting parts together as we speak. I have wheels and tires coming, I bought a welder from Snap-On.

I have my own drawings of the new frame I am gonna build, but I need help with the rocker panels. I have an English wheel to work the metal, but what gauge should I use?

Remember to cross break larger pieces of sheetmetal for added strength. For exterior panels I would use nothing lighter than 18-20 ga. Inner panels can be a little lighter, i.e. 24 ga. Good luck.
