Tonight my daughter was driving my customized '89 2dr 2wd S10 Blazer and she went to a bowling alley in Tacoma with her new boss and co-workers to bowl a few frames and relax for about an hour after work, and it got stolen.

Good-bye one nicely tricked out truck worth at least $4500.00 that I'll never get back in one piece. The sonabitchin' brand new wheels and tires were worth nearly $2000.00 alone. The damn thing had a rebuilt motor and tranny, had very low miles on it, and the body and interior was perfect. The new paint was only a little over 1 month old. And I had just upgraded the sound system because the old CD deck was acting up.

Like a dumbass I didn't have an alarm on it yet because I've been too busy, and untill my daughter moved back in and needed a car to drive back and forth to work, it wasn't being driven anywhere much.

I went to the car auction with a car dealer friend of mine last weekend to get her a car, but had no luck and we were going to a bigger one this weekend. So I was a few days away from having it parked again. And the worst part is it was going to be my wife's truck.

FUCK!!! I am so pissed right now I can't think straight. I just want to get in my truck and drive all over Tacoma and find the bastards that stole it and snap their damn necks. Here's a couple of pics taken just before I had the paint touched up:

Now I get to spend all damn day screwing around with the insurance company to try to get the money to replace the damn thing. Plus, the chances of me finding another one even remotely like it in such good condition with such low miles are between zero and none - so basically I'm screwed. Now my daughter is upset and crying like a baby, she has no way to work, my wife is furious about losing her truck, and I just want to strangle someone - preferably the asshole thief that stole my fucking truck.

Man...I screw up my hand, my daughter moves back in and loses her job, I get freakin' pnuemonia, then I get a bad inner ear infection that screws up my hearing in one ear and now I have to go see an EENT specialist to take care of it, I had to go back in and have them surgically remove one more chunk of crap out of my neck again, the rotten city is still trying to zone me out of business, and now this.

FFS...WTF IS NEXT??

Yeah...but IMHO this probably wasn't a punk kid or a gangbanger kinda thing. More than likely some pro took it, and it's being chopped, or hauled away to have the VIN # swapped and be sold somewhere else. 1st generaton 2dr 2wd S10 Blazers that are as clean and nice as mine was don't grow on trees around here and are hugely popular all over the West Coast. Especially ones like mine with the 4.3 vortec engine/automatic with all of the extras. It just makes me sick - I looked for nearly 5 years to find that damn truck because my wife had seen a bunch of them at car shows and always wanted one. And the wheels it had on it my wife was freakin' crazy about, but they don't even make them any more - the company discontinued them. My buddy that works for a wheel/tire shop called all over and he finally found me a brand new full set.

And besides the $$ - I had a lot of time invested in fixing up that damn truck.

Oh fucking well...too late to fuss about it now I guess. :(

Man, wish I had something worthwhile to say... Hope the insurance company is at least fair with you.

Here's the best I can offer, you wanted to come see us Luv'rs in Oregon anyway, right?

Just an update... as far as I can tell so far, my insurance company won't settle the claim for at least 2 weeks, I've got a ton of paperwork to do in the meantime, (police reports, notarized statements, reciepts for what all was installed on the truck, pictures of the truck, pictures/prices of comparable vehicles, etc.) and they won't pay for a rental car for the first 48 hours - and then only a measly $15.00 per day for 30 days.

And the insurance company's vehicle theft adjuster hasn't called me yet and they are in freakin' Oklahoma.

Which wouldn't be all that bad...except I live in Washington.

I tell you what...this crap is almost making me want to wax my Luv up and sell it. I don't think I could take getting it stolen too without flipping the hell out and randomly strangling people...lol

Did I mention how much I hate thieves yet?

Well I got woke up at 5:30 AM this morning by Tacoma Police Department because they finally found my Blazer in some towing yard's impound lot. It was towed in and impounded 4 fucking days ago because it was parked in someone's paid covered parking space in some apartment parking lot in the north end of Tacoma. The passenger's door has a big friggin' jagged hole where they punched the door lock, the column is trashed, the stereo system is gone, the front spindles and control arms are all banged up, the tint on the windows is all scratched to hell, the jack and it's plastic cover are missing, but miraculously the custom wheels and tires are still on it and intact.

It's a damn filthy mess and looks like someone took it out in the boondocks and beat the crap out of it, but I guess it's still salvagable. It sure was nice of the lousy sonabitches to take my nice custom lowered truck off road and beat it up. The cops already processed it and took fingerprints, and got statements from the people around where it was parked when it was towed, so hopefully they will catch the thieving bastards that stole it. So I just paid a nice hefty $300.00 fee to get it out of impound, got it running, and brought it back home. It sure would have been nice if they would have notified me the day it was impounded instead of letting the damn thing sit so darn long and rack up a big freakin' storage bill...the assholes.

Now I get to start all over again and re-do all of my insurance paperwork to try to get the money to fix it all back up. Man...this sucks! Oh well...hopefully I can just get some estimates, have them cut me a check, and do the repairs myself so I don't get completely financially screwed over.

I have a 93 S-10 4 door Blazer I bought for parts for mine. If there is any parts, like interior, etc., you need and if they will work for you let me know, you can have anything you need. All you will have to do is pay for shipping. Glad to hear you got your truck, buy like you said that was pretty shitty of the cops to wait 4 days before they called you.

I would've chewed on some pig's asses for that, but I feel your pain, my car's been the target of alot of peoples anger lately cause people don't understand I have a job that I have to do at the school and don't like the fact I actually have some military bearing about myself... So i'm relocating my car to somewhere else on base and hiding it untill i graduate, some recent events make me nervous about keeping it at the school.

Here's another update:

Well it's good bye Blazer and my money time. The lousy adjuster totalled it because they claim that their estimated damage is too close to their estimated value, so I'm getting to keep my wheels/tires and they are giving me a measly $2500.00 for it. I could buy it back for $100.00, but it would be worthless to fix it since it takes over 2 months around here just to get it inspected after it's been repaired, it would then have a totalled title that would also show up on carfax, and no buyer could ever get a loan on it to buy it from me.

Fair market value before it was stolen is close to $5000.00 around here, but that means nothing to them. I have over $3000.00 invested in the truck (not even including my labor/time), but they could give a shit less, so in this little game I guess I get to be the poor loser.

So now I get to dig into my savings and go try to find another decent 2wd 2dr S10 Blazer with a 4.3 V6/Auto somewhere in Washington State worth trying to fix up, which more than likely just aint gonna happen because they are so damn rare.

I don't know who fucked me over worse - the damn thief or the damn adjuster. I am so damn pissed and disgusted right now words just don't fucking do it justice.

Don't you just LUV dealing with your insurance. I feel your pain as they've screwed me over 3 times. I'd buy it back for the $100.00 and part it out, you could recoup some of youe investment that way...
