A Christmas story...

Many years ago around Christmas time,my father went out with some buddies to a poker game.
He got really drunk and ended up losing his truck,and my mom's "56" Nomad in the game.

Well,needless to say my folks had a huge fight,and my dad packed up and left.

At the time my younger twin brothers were just learning to talk,and everytime they got into a fight,my older brother and his friends would give them money to stop...
And ask them"What do you say"...
Instead of the usual response"Thank you" my brother trained them to respond with"Daddy's an a$$hole"...

Anyway,the following year my dad and mom got back together right before Christmas.

Christmas Eve was always a big family get together at my Grandparents house(mom's side)and the whole family would be there,uncles,aunts,distant cousins,and just about any other stray that didn't have anywhere to go for the Holidays.

All the relatives knew what had transpired between my parents...but nobody talked about it.Everyone figured my dad had come back to us merely for appearances....

At one point when we were opening up our presents,my twin brothers got into a fight over their toys..

Sure enough,the old man bribed them with a couple of quarters...and asked"What do you say"....








Boy did he get a Great Christmas surprise when the "Twins" sang out in stereo.."Daddy's an a$$hole" to a full room.
