Any of you out there into archery, try these out. It's a new replacement for vanes or fletching on arrows that have been around basicaly since the dawn of mankind.

Their called FOBs (Fletching Only Better) by Starrflight Archery.

I have been 'testing' them for the company for a week or so and I'm hooked. My only caution is. Don't shoot groups with them :) The 2 center shots had a little wreck.

This group is from 50yds, Goldtip Hunter XHB5575, shot with 70# Mathews Legacy 28" draw.

No more time spent fletching arrows. :)

Oh, forgot that part. They can only be used with fall away type rest triggered from the buss cable instead of the cable slide. And bare shaft tuning before hand makes all the difference. And prolly won't work shooting fingers because their so close to the nock.

i haven't shot for about 10 years. i got lazy and switched to a crossbow and I'm even too lazy for that :P
but my dad used to run a small archery shop out of the house, so i had access to about anything i wanted. i never minded fletching my own arrows. dad had the cutoff lathe and about 2 dozen EZ fletchers. i would re-fletch and stripe mine about once every 2 months or so.
that is a interesting concept tho. i think it would totally fuck with your anchor point too.

Does just a little, I've been shooting a bow steadily since I was 11 years old(30 years, yikes). And I was determined I wasn't changing mine for nothing.
But as long as you bare shaft tune and verify clearances it realy has little effect, the FOB is designed to correct itself. Can see it would be a problem with a big ass Grizzly Adams beard though :)

The biggest benefit to them is how they correct or eliminate crosswind drift, especially at 40-60 yards. Not too common for whitetails etc, but Elk hunters commonly shoot at those distances and seem to be the biggest fans of them.

Here's a cool video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F0-jKmvCCI
