Thought it would be fun to see what some of the other LUV drivers do for a living. I did a search and didn't see a post like this... so I'll start it off.

I'm a Survey Technician at a Surveying firm called Andregg Geomatics.
I mainly do office work, but lately been going out in the field (on my own time) to survey a county line that hasn't been surveyed in 100 years!

Right now I install and service, wood, gas, pellet and electric fireplaces and stoves.

Starting September 4th, I will be getting paid to go to school to be a Shipfitter at NASSCO.

I'm a host at Bonefish Grill. Sadly, I'm too young to serve or bartend.

When I had my north American Van Lines trucks, I used to deliver to NASSCO every once in a while. Down there almost under the Coronado bridge.

I work for a crane rental company, and haul the cranes and crane parts with a big rig. Most cranes I haul are oversize / weight loads, all around the so. CA. area.

And this has been done before, but no big deal, we have a lot of new members since then. There is also a thread for posting a pic of yourself so we can scare each other with our looks.

I am an ROV Pilot/Sub Engineer well at least that's my title anyway lol

ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) is an Remote operated submarine with Manipulators on the front. It is controlled from the surface with electrical and Fiber Optic wiring. In my case they are utilized in Offshore oil platforms. I.E. for installing deep sea structures for the oil field. Sometimes they're used to take pictures of "The Titanic" and treasure hunting, Scientific studies etc.

The hardest thing about this type of work is that you are away from friends and family 6 months out of the year. :( However I am also a Licensed Journeyman Plumber with the State of Texas and plan to acquire my Masters soon and hope to start my own company so I would no longer have to go offshore for work......ok somebody else's turn........

I work for 3M company in the traffic safety systems division. If your Luv has a license plate more than likely it has been through my hands. ( Even you Aussie guys) Down side is that I will probably be glowing in my casket. :D

No, I get that all the time. We make the reflective backing and print the artwork on the plate for all 50 states and nine different countries. The prisons stamp the plates and install our backing on the plate.
