First off, I would like to say that it was not my beloved LUV, I have yet to get my baby running, this was my dad's '97 Nissan Pickup...

And also, I know that probably hardly anyone on here knows me, I would just like to share something that happened to me...

So, I was going down an extremely busy road in my city today, about 9:45 to be exact, and there is someone beside me but not infront or behind me. Anyways, so I was just driving down the road, going like 45-50 and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, rolls this, what looks like a keg, out in front of my vehicle, I had no where to turn, being a median on my left and a car on my right, and just as my foot hit the brake I was staring at the sky, I hit it dead on and it was wedged under my back axle, but there was a turning lane about 10 feet away so I pulled into that, turned and saw the enormous amount of sparks and white smoke behind me, turned on my hazards and my car off and jumped out as fast as I could.

As soon as I smelt the smoke I knew it wasn't a keg, I thought it was methane or something like that so I put my shirt over my mouth and quickly dialed my dad to come and help, and as I'm doing this, the guy whos truck it fell out of pulls up infront of me. Turns out it was A FULL FUCKING PROPANE TANK! I don't know how the vapor didn't spark because there we MASS amounts of smoke pillowing from it and mass amounts of sparks. All I know is that I am one truely lucky and truly blessed man. If I hadn't hit it dead on, I could have torn something up on the truck or hit something and hurt me, or worse, the propane could have sparked and I would be incinerated.

But in the end, there was no damage to me or my dads truck... But nonetheless the guy was a really nice guy and I have all of his information incase something is indeed wrong.

Ps. the truck is a very small pick up, no clearance at all.

Wow. That's hairy man. You must have had a guardian angel on your shoulder or something.

WOW! You ARE really lucky you didn't hurt your LUV! 8O

OK. everyone else already said all the usual stuff, so I thought I'd throw in the humor.

You are very lucky, and it's amazing that it didn't blow.
I guess they have a bunch of regulations about those tanks for that just that kind of a situation.
