A veteran - Whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who,
at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to
"The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this

country who no longer understand it.

As a third generation american (my family came legally and spoke english) and a Army Vet that spent time in the sand box, I would not change anything I have done for our new country. I talk to people about it and jury duty usually comes up. I feel that our system does have it's flaws but know of no better system in the world. I also feel it is a americans duty to go to jury duty for our country. Most people look at me like I have 5 eyes when I tell them this. Everyone wants freedom but few want to work for it. My grandparents preached to me to serve for the "new" country or go back to East Germany. I choose to defend America and sit any amount of time the goverment ask of me for jury duty.

few understand honor and even fewer care about it, sad state of affairs when people what all the freedom yet care nothing for those that give them that freedom
