Brotherhood Raceway was mentioned as was the fact this is a historic track.


Another track bits the dust out here. LACR was the third oldest track in So Cal-Inyokern was the oldest gone 2 years ago, Carlsbad 2nd oldest gone last year, and now LACR, gone this July. But there is hope from all the city officials that showed up that a new track may open in the AV.


July 28 LACR will hold a race during the day, and the Last Street Racer Night-NO TECH. Bernie plans on closing when everyone decides to leave, so if everyone runs what they brung till morning, so be it, and they will run on Sunday as well, just like Terminal Island. Big Willie may be there. The NEWS will be there again for that event. Like Bernie says, "what are they going to do-shut me down.LOL"

What a bummer. I've been there a couple of times for the Truckin For Kids Truck Drags. It was a pretty nice place.
Truckin For Kids moved their deal out to Fontana at the AAA drag track, which is good for me because it's a lot closer to home.

Race tracks are like airports. Everybody wants them close to home, but doesn't want them to make any noise.
