Did you slide the new metal under the old and plug weld it? Just wondering why there were holes drilled in the old metal.

yes, cut the new quarter to fit and plug welded were the holes are drilled , also welded the lap joint . It will have a skim coat of filler over it . The car will be LeMans blue with a white bumble bee strip in front , just like my wifes old one . She had that car for 19 years and brought both our daughters home from birth at the hospital in it . Trying to remake the one that got away for her .

Looks like a pretty nice job, Should look pretty sweet in LeMans blue with the bumble bee style strip in white around the nose. You removing the rear spoiler or just have it off for repairs and restoration?
