Post subject: New Luv <vs> wife
PostPosted: Mon Mar 10, 2003 9:57 pm
When I informed my wife of my desire to aquire another Luv, she told me, "The only new 'love' in this house better be from you to me." I tried to explain to her my love for the Luv. Then she said, "If you pursue your quest for a new Luv, you can forget about me!" Damn! I'm gonna miss her for at least a couple of days. Oh well, gotta get back to finding a Luv. Cheers bro's. :D

It is strange that so many people that have an extrordinary attraction to the Chevy Luv, also have relatives that have a great distaste for these trucks. Whether your sold on its rock steady reliablity of the factory configuration or the fact that it is an excellent platform to build a performance vehicle, there's someone around you constantly pushing the idea of getting rid of that old, relic and buy something that's more appropiate. My normal response it that is "I have a tool box that says i can own any damn thing i want and that thing is my Luv truck". Period!

Thats gonna be rough. Odds are that he will change things with the truck to suit him and it's not going to set well with you. I dont think Derek was too impressed with the fact that the guy that bought his truck ended up lowering it and changed the rims. But it's with a new owner and the owner can do whatever they want with it. The tough part is having to watch whats happening and not being able to stop it.

at least you have your priorties straight.the truck before the woman, the truck is harder to replace."there are billions of women out there" the luvs are cheaper to fix up than women." one extremely nice luv 10,000 $ total investment" women 15000,for better fun bags "breast implants" 150 per callogen shot,6000 tummy tuck,20,000 lipo suction, life time supply of make up and shoes and clothes 1 billion, life time of endless bitching priceless. im glad my wife isn`t into all that she likes going to the track and hanging out when she isn`t busy she will even help turn wrenches on the luv. damm i got lucky with that. later

I solved the wife problem the easy way, she has her own LUV to drive. I have my 79 4x4, and she has her 77 2wd. She complains every once in a while that we need something with some extra room inside for carrying groceries home out of the rain so I may have to break down and get a longbed LUV and convert it to an extra cab. ;) Maybe a LUV station wagon? a mini LUVan to haul around a kid or two?

If it was up to women we'd still be in the trees making monkeysounds. They don't understand man need to explore stuff like building a better car or make things explode . Hey i understand about bills to pay but as far as i'm concerned thats only unimportant stuff.
Uuuuhhhh , i'm single at the moment needn't say more. Why can't i win the lottery , and have it all ?

Ive wired houses for a few dozen Microsoft people and that cash isnt all that. Ive spoken at length about it with a few and the cash doesnt buy happiness. the spending spree right out of the hole maybe thrilling, but it goes away.

I wired bill gates attourney's house in redmond and he and his wife looked like they hated each other, I wired the house of the seattle sonics owner, and he looked suspicious and irritated 24/7. Wired more that one microsoft mansions and it would suk to be those people! dont look to the cash- be happy with what u got!

offcourse i totally agree with you 77ssluv . It's just that it makes life a bit easier . Seems to me that some people don't know how to be happy , money or not . And i try to be happy whith what i've got , but sometimes money CAN make you a bit happier , you just get spoiled so easely and forget how you were before...
