thanksgiving turned pretty good afterall.

i ended up putting a new florescent light in the garage, and now i can see what im workin on!!

i also put a new valvecover gasket on the pup and tore the carb down and cleaned it. i also painted the front bumper black again, painted the valve cover, the top of the radiator and painted the ugly bondo so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb.

heres some pics...

the new light!

Light? Garage? I've done all the work on my trucks in the gravel outside with a flashlight stuck in my mouth. Wussy.

Pup looks a lot better with some paint covering up its wounds. Nothing hides ugly bodywork better than flat black.

Was it a Porn star sized flashlight?... :D

Anyway, i know what it's like to work on my stuff out in the open. Sometimes it's all you can do to find a place where you can park the truck and work on it without somebody freaking out.
When i put my 400 together, the ground around the storage shed was packed down with the grass killed off. It wasn't the best place to do the work but it all i had. At night, you could see all the crap floating around in the air using a drop light. Panic sets in and all you can think of is the dirt making it's way into the motor.
