Well i just picked up a Mosin Nagant M1938. Its one of the Soviet assualt rifle designs that would have been used during WWII(mine is dated as a 1941). Its a bolt action with a 5 round mag and shoots 7.62x54R. Perty big stuff, kinda like an over charged AK round (they shoot 7.62X39). Its realy neato. 8)
Ill try to get some pics of it :D

that thing is a skud launcher. like 210 grain and alot of powder. The first time I shot mine was at the gun range. I tried to clean it up the best i could , but it still had touches of cosmoline in the barrel. Rattled the tin roof and shot a 12"-15" flame out the barrel. everyone stopped shooting and wanted to check it out.

you must have been shooting the old mill. spec. Russian stuff. A buddy of mine has a crate of those rounds and they are awsome to shoot. I love seeing an orange flash in my ghost ring 8)
That said all that i have in my ammo box is some 184 grain commercial Russin ammo. Still makes a good whoomp sound when fired though :)

Yea, the whooomp sound I forgot to add. That was surplus mil spec. They were just about givin that stuff away about 3 years ago at the big gun shows. Like $45 a 1000 or something silly like that. I think I have the m39[long one] and m44[carbine/infantry]. Enjoy it.

the early M1891s are the longer barreled. The M1938s are most common and are carbines. Then theres a sniper version (i think its an M1940something) those are also realy rare.
