wether you support the war or not this makes no sense...

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060607/us_ ... officer_dc

He took an oath as a Military official and he is breaking that oath, if you don't agree with the ways of the land than don't join the military.

I am sorry for the people that have lost their lives due to war, but unfortunately that is the risk you take when you join.

God Bless the soldiers that are fighting...

1LT Watada
On 18 June 2003, Ehren Watada made the following statement when he entered boot camp,

"I, Ehren Watada, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."
Shortly after this he also made the following statement,

"I, Ehren Watada, having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of Second Lieutenant do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter. So help me God."
Now that he's about to get sent to Iraq, he's making the following statement,

"I refuse to be silent any longer. I refuse to watch families torn apart, while the President tells us to 'stay the course.' ... I refuse to be party to an illegal and immoral war against people who did nothing to deserve our aggression. I wanted to be there for my fellow troops. But the best way was not to help drop artillery and cause more death and destruction. It is to help oppose this war and end it so that all soldiers can come home."
Note that he left the word "soldiers" with a lower-case 's'. You can read more about this spineless coward on a website that has been setup to document his cowardice.

Nothing Pisses me off more than someone that joins the military at a young age, Gets Killed ( so help them God ) then their Parents blame the military for making false promises to them.

If you sign up expect to fight and the possibility you could be injured.

I stand behind the American Soldier, And thank them all for our freedoms.

So what I take from the linked website is that this waste of skin joined the Army in the middle of 2003 when the war with Iraq was going on, and now is refusing to perform his duties by deploying with his unit. I could rip into this guy for days, but to shorten it. He signed a legal and binding contract and is now refusing to honor it. If this were a civilian contract he would be liable for repaying all pay and benefits he received and all that. But being as everyone's heart bleeds for these little whining bitches that just want a to serve when it's easy and get the sweet deal, he'll probably get reassigned to the ranges or something and just serve out his time. F^^K him.

He looks a puss from the get go. He didn't bitch when he was in Korea. The "Entertainment" chicks downtown must have made things bearable. The sand on his skin might had caused him some irritation... The PUSSY...

The sad part is that you are all right, Because of all these bastards ( that don't know the first thing about the military ) supporting this SOB, he probably will get away with it.

Court Martial him, and lock him up.

First let me say, he is a pussy. But, he has a right as an American to be a pussy in public. He is free to say what he wants, and do or not do what he wants. At least within the confines of our very lax laws. (by the world's standards) Being American isn't always easy, you have to be willing to defend the right of someone to say or believe something that you oppose with every fiber of your being.

Since he is in the military and entered into a contract to do a job, those lax laws I mentioned above should be applied to him. If there is a book to be thrown at him, let it be thrown hard. You know what you sign up for when you join up, and he should have known better. I won't begrudge him his voice though. That is exactly what our military has fought for in the past, and is fighting for right now.

At least that is how I feel about it. Feel free to disagree, as is your right. Oh yeah, my heartfelt thanks to all the armed forces people here. I may not agree with everything you guys say or do, but I owe you the ability to disagree and not get shot for it.

For the record my opinion on the war: WMDs or no Saddam had to go. Boggled my mind we left him in power the first time we kicked his ass.

Upon entering the U.S. Armed Forces, You are to raise your right hand and take an oath. Once that responsibility is taken, you as a service member automaticly lose certian individual rights. One of these is the right to civil liberties. The military structure is not a democracy by any means and to think that this guy entered the service volintarily and just now has a consious concern towards innocent civilians in harms way is just a cowards way out of their responsibility.
The U.S. tax payer footed the bill to train and maintain me so i could do my job that was expected of me. After my time was up, i was given a DD 214 stating "Honorable Discharge".
You cant pick and chose aspects of the military to suit personal preferences and this is what this guy is trying to do.

I believe he deserves a full court martial to the highest extent of the UCMJ. It's only fair to the men and women deployed to the middle east who are doing what they're trained for.

whadda douche.

If you disagree with the war, that is your perogative... I had a few buddies to go over there and not like the reasons they were fighting. They have every right to speak out, but they never pussed out and cried about it.

Shoot him... he's a traitor.

There was a few punks like this in my unit, during desert shield/desert storm.
"I signed up for the college money" Fucking punk ass bitches...

As for the resons for going over there this time...I think its kinda funny how people say that the basis was that they had "WMD's" I never once heard the President say that. I did however hear him say that Sodomite had not held up his end of the deal from the first go-round, and we aren't going to wait around till he uses wmds to make sure if he has em or not. The burden of proof was solely on Sadams shoulders, and he for whatever reason decided against fulfilling his end. Look where ya are now douchebag...
