I thought this weekend was gonna suck since I had to work both days. Well on Saturday I spied a 79 or 80 stepside sititng in front of a run down mechanic shop. I went back on my lunch break and found out it's a 4x4 stepside with a nice body. No motor or trans installed but with a motor and a SBC in the bed. This tweaker came out and told me a little about the truck and said it suppoedly is setup for a V-8 already. And it's possibly gonna be for sale. Later in the evening this guy came into work and I found out he has a 74 LUV he just go running and also has a complete 75 parts truck that runs. And he might be willing to part with it. Yesterday the woman came into work and she started talking to me about LUV's as she just scored a 76 stepside and needs to get it past smog. So we talked a bit and it turns out she got this truck for next to nothing. It didn't hurt that she was attractive... :roll: ... So it was a LUV filled weekend...

yeah i can feel it... hopefully that one 4x4 stepside won't be headed for the crusher.. he's trying to get papers on it so he can sell it.

I would love another LUV project. The only problem is that after I completed my 74, my wife said if I was to restore another one while I still own the 74 make sure it has a shell on it because I will need somewhere to sleep.

yep... stepside 4x4... minus engine and radiator at least.... just sitting on jackstands in front of this run down mechanics shop

my buddy paul has a 78 chevy stpeside and he always thought it would be cool if my truck were a step side. Then it would be like my truck was his trucks little brother.
