I myself, have to step clear of this topic. I stopped messing with it a long time ago for personal reasons. I cant condemn or condone the use but to each is own.

Well the problem is with the whole thing is tossing up to ppl that see as bad the benefits....for instane chronic pain or arthritis........there are plenty of prescription drugs out there for these things but for instance look at celebrex and vioxx....and what it has done to so many families.......

While yes pot is bad too....but under control and used properly could be beneficial to a point....Here's a story:(was gonna leave it out but couldn't do it):

Just for instance my dad has arthritis and alot of chronic due to a serious accident many years ago.....his neck is fused,screw and plates in his foot and knee.....When vioxx and celebrex came out this is what they offered to him to help......with the pain.....on more than one occasion he woke to his stomach bleeding due to these medications...and also almost lost him due to a stroke due to those d@#m pills .
I havent found any proven fact that pot has caused any of these kind of side effects...So if it can help with chronic pain...without serious side effects these prescription drugs they supposedly call safe Im gonna vote yes to legalize it...Sorry all for the long story...Just thought might help with the way i feel about the whole thing.....

Not to change the subject, but slick97477 reminded me of a commercial I saw the other day, and they were talkin about side affects to the meds they were trying to sale. Get this one of the side affects were diarhea [ the shits] and the other was black outs. They said the worst case was it could cause both at once. Wouldn't that be some f*#cked up shit, to be crappin, and pass out at the same time Sorry, just wanted to share

I dont see anything wrong with people smoking pot. I have never done it but I think its alright.

It's just another drug to alter one's mind. If you have 1/2 a mind you don't need to alter it with any drug.

And what about medical uses? It's one thing to get stoned out of your mind just for the hell of it... it's totally another thing to the people with glaucoma and M.S. to smoke some to relieve the pain...

I really don't hear too much about people being high on pot wrecking their cars. Someone might have already said this, but the drunk guys are the ones getting in the wrecks. The potheads are in the slow lane with their hazard lights on going 5mph.
