Just in case none of you know it, the state of Washington has it's on room here at LUVtruck.com. Once you log in from Washington or the surrounding area, you'll be able to click on the Washinton room. You are all invited to check it out. Looking forward to see some new faces.

Hey rondog, think of it this way. Wa. members need a group because while those of us in SoCal and TX are out driving our trucks in the middle of winter, they at least get to talk about driving their trucks.
It's not that you're not welcome in their group, it just that you dont have the time to spare. The next time you're cruising down the 605, ask yourself "I wonder what the Wa group is up to?"

To the tune of Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA"...

"I was born in Seattle,
I got big and got a LUV
Now the best room is Wash-in-ton..."

I can't remember the rest of the words.

I got 2 uncles, 1 aunt, and a bunch of cousins that live in Wash. state. Does that count?? I would like to bring my truck up there sometime and race at the track in Kent, Wash. where the big boys race.

Cool, do you ever get to the NHRA national event there? I am hoping to get out there next summer to visit relatives. I told the wife we will have to plan the vacation around the race!! Don't think she will go for it??

I could be your tour guide. LOL It'd be fun. How long did ya want to stay in Washington? There's the ferrys, the space needle, Pike's Market, Snoqualamie Falls, the Blue Angels in August around the hydroplane races on Lake Washington. the ocean, the mountains, the rain forest, the desert, lakes and rivers, and hiking, camping, fishing and oh, yeah, I almost forgot. The speedway. I've never gone, no. I actually drove on the track one day; happened to find ourselves there, and no races going. The cars were packing up, and we got to see a lot of really cool cars. I know right where it is, but other than that I know nothing about attending. My neighbor just across the street races, though. He'd know and I could ask for ya.

Tell your wife my wife said hi. I just bought a Chevy Series 8 manual from a eBay seller in Iowa.

My wife says hi back to ya. Where abouts in Iowa did the manual come from?

I was thinking about taking 2 weeks and that includes driving out and back. But may have to go to 3 weeks. Need to wait until after the first of the year to see what the racing schedule is at the track I race at. I haven't been to Wash. for about 20 years. My wife has never seen the ocean so I would like to show her that and the space needle. That is pretty cool. I have never seen boat races so that would be cool also. If we make it out there this I may have to look you up. Could always use a tour guide!!! How far are you from Richland and Seattle? I have relatives in both towns.

Wild Luv, I gotta make this brief...we're having a wild windstorm! I'm cool with all that. We'll keep in touch. We're about 20 miles SE of Seattle. I know Seattle very well. I've been thru Richland a few times. If you want to see the sights with us, that'd be something we would look forward to.

We're having some very high wind for a day or two...

FullaLuv:

I'm impressed that you were able to still post at 11:36. Our power went out long before that and only just now came back on. Sure is boring w/o electricity. :-)

Hey, how did your tarps hold up?

Regarding Richland, I used to live there as well. Such a small world. I think it's more like 3.5 hours from Seattle. Nice place though.

later,
Eric Q.
