Copperas Cove Bulldawgs made their way to the state Division 1, 4A Championship game at the Alamodome in San Antonio Texas last night.
Cove fell behind early in the first QT but they steadily worked hard and made up ground against the Alamo Heights Mules.
With 5 minutes left in the 4th QT, Cove scores another T.D. to bring them into striking distance to overtake the Mules. The Mules had to punt on that drive which put Cove in the drivers seat. The Dawgs made their way into Mules territory and were poised to take the lead. Cove fumbled and that was the beginning of the end for the Dawgs. Alamo Heights was able to drive all the way to another T.D. and eat up the clock.

Even though Cove lost the biggest game the school has ever been in. They put Copperas Cove on the map. Man! It was exciting to listen to the game on the radio.
