My Luv turned into an S10 project. But the way gas prices are and me going to college, I ended up selling my engine and transmission to a buddy of mine.

It only has a 20r (and no power steering), but I'm gonna buid one bad ass 22r for it down the road.

hey. PM peeroy. he has a 4bbl intakle for a 20r head. when you build the 22r, put the 20r head on 22r block. when you use the 20r head on the 22r block is bumps the compression up to about 10:1.

dont you have to use like an 85 an down block? something about taller deck heighth?

i think the tall deck motor just make it have less compression since th piston only goes up a certain disatnce in the cylinder. the 20r head has like a 15cc less chamber than the 22r head.

It really doesn't matter. If it is the tall deck engine, you can just have it machined down to a zero deck with the stock 22r head and get a high compression.

I wanna say there was something with the pistons too, domed or something, its been awhile an the way I was told was just a basic swap no machining or anything. But if your going all out on it I guess it really wouldnt matter I'll have to look, think I have something on it bookmarked
