 Post subject: well.....got a new ride

i brought well not a new new like paper tag style car but its new to me...its a 1953 Chevy Bel-Air 4 door thats been modified somewhat. it was a 6cyl now has a 350 4-bolt main. still carrying on the coulum that was pulled from a 48 chevy. still needs some work on it. my car club and i are in progress of finishing it up. chop the top and finished it up late late last night and working on the intieior in it today and getting it ready for a car show in Brownwood Tx in about 3 weeks. hopefully by this weekend or early next week the rest of the body mods are next


thought i would share with everyone...... i'm happy my 1st street rod :D

sounds sweet.. i like that body style.. i had a '54 2dr sedan back in the day and cruised the wheels of that thing...

cool......i finally got to do a lil cruising in mine last night had to take it easy over a few little dips due to the car sitting low. the guy i brought the car from did a Nova clip and a 9 inch out back with 3.73 gears it rode pretty good. since its a 3 sp a guy last night at the sonic asked why dont i go to a floor shift insted of a coulum shift and i told him i like the coulum shift better due to it lookin more retro.


since the post yesterday i got 58% of the inside done (but the headliner) got the exhaust done went to glasspacks,headers and flamethrowers and got the body in black primer and shot with sealer to stop any rusting from starting. my dad had a "C-Kit" that he install and i installed a pair of lake pipes and fender skirts so now its starting to look cool now. only took 1 break (smoke break actually lol) and had dinner at 5:00 this morning lol
