Well, I got my orders last week, I am to report to Fort Benning, Ga on 26April2005 for basic and advanced individual training. ITS ABOUT TIME! I have been in the Oregon Army National guard for over a year, and I finally get to go to boot camp and infantry school. I had a ship date back in october-2004, then hurt my foot and had to wait for a doctors release, which happend in December, so since then, I have been waiting for a seat to open up to go. Georgia in the summertime. YES!

I will be gone for 16 weeks, then I will return home to the good ol' west coast. So, I'll drop you all a line when I get back in September.

Have a good summer guys, enjoy the race season My Nova will be sitting in the driveway with the keys hanging on the kitchen wall. I spent all winter building the motor, got 600 miles on it finally, started having a little fun with it, and now I have to leave and miss the whole damn season. Oh well, I'm sure my country appreciates it.

I also just found out that in November, my unit is going to Japan for our 2 week annual training. So that is something to look forward to. Last year we went to Fort Carson, CO. So, Japan is quite a bit better.

Good luck brother! Pay no attention to the cockroaches skittering across the counters in the mess hall.... I mean they really don't get into the food...much.

btw I was in C 2/54 when I went to basic there.... but I got to miss most of the summer heat drink lots o' water.
